We send our deepest sympathy to the Harpell and Heath families on your loss of your family member Anna. (Grandma) I have been involved with racing since 1990. I appreciate being a member of the staff at five mile point.
Sincerely,
Mr. and Mrs. John Clapper
I only had the chance to meet Mrs. Heath a couple of times during the years I raced or attended races at Five Mile Point but I will always remember her for presenting me with the gifts I recieved for winning the Irv. Heath Memorial in 1993 (street stock) and again in the 1995 (sportsman) races. Mrs. Heath would always give out special gifts instead of trophys for winning The Irv. Heath Memorial and to me those gifts are treasured more than any of the other awards that I recieved during my years in a race car.. #1 because of the importance of what that race ment to her and her family and #2 because she would personaly present the gifts to all the winners.. She was a kind, soft spoken, and very special lady.. My sincere condolences go out to the entire Heath/Harpell family.. Rest in Peace Mrs. Heath....

We would like to extend our heartfelt sympathies to the Heath/Harpell families at this most difficult time. We have all lost a very special lady in the passing of Mrs. Heath. We would like to Thank her for the many memories we have all been able to share over the years at Five Mile Point Speedway as she worked so hard to keep her husbands dream alive. Once again, thanks for the memories and Rest in Peace.

From working very closely with the Heath family for many years, the local racing community has lost a true HERO. While Mrs Heath never took a checkered flag in a race car, she was the true meaning of a champion. When her husband passed away 35 years ago, Mrs Heath could have sold everything. More than likely, no one would have blamed her if she did, but she was a strong willed woman who wanted to see her husband's dream survive. That dream survived and blossomed into a facility that is as rich in history and tradition as any speedway in the country. When Dan stepped down last fall as a promoter I remember speaking with Mrs Heath. She was as determined as ever to keep the facility alive, always echoing back to her thoughts of 35 years prior," Where will the kids go to race?" I'm glad she was able to get the sale of the facility to her grandson, Andrew prior to her recent illness, and she went to her rest knowing that she had accomplished a great deal, and has left a legacy that very few will ever come close to matching. Rest in Peace Mrs Heath. We'll certainly miss you on opening night, but we know that both you and Irving will be watching over us for years to come.

They say racing is a big familyand Anna showed us all just how much we are all a big family. She would always talk to my family when we got to the trackand remembered the birth dates of my grandchilden. She was a very good friend when my husband(Ralph Sr.) passed away she was there with her arms opened wide . She always had to give (Ralph Jr.) a hug before he went out on the track. It is true a racing family always stick together and help out no matter how if it was to collect money or a big partyat the track. We have been going to the races for over 28yrs. and it won't be the same without her there but we all know that she is there wacthing over all of us there ..My heart goes out to the family.Anna will be missed dearly.

To: The family of Anna Heath,
We send our deepest sorrows to you all. Anna was a GREAT Lady. I know we will dearly miss her. She always greeted us at the track and asked us how we were doing. We are glad we had a chance to get to know her. As for me I grew up there and she knew that. Every Saturday she gave me and members of my family a hug. She never forgot us. And I know we will never forget her as long as we live. Her memory will always live on though us all. She will be watching over all the races and the fans. You all will be in our prays and in our hearts.

Andy, Dan, Mal, and the rest of the Heath and Harpell families.
Our condolences to you at the passing of your mother and grandmother. We had the honor of knowing Anna Heath through the years at the track and many family cookouts. She was a special lady who made us, and I am sure others feel like part of the familyl- I am sure this is a trait that she passed down to the rest of her familly as myself, my wife, and my chidren were always made to feel welcomed at family functions by all her family members. They even welcomed us every Christmas Eve to join their family Christmas. I was amazed at how sharp her mind was at her age, as she always knew the names of all my kids and would ask about them everytime she saw me. She genuinely cared and was not just making conversation. I can only hope I have that strong a mind and body when I am her age. My wife and children have had many fun nights at the track and want to thank al! l of the family. Please let us know if you need anything. God Bless you and your mother(grandmother) Anna Heath.
