FIVE MILE POINT SPEEDWAY THREE RACE COLOSSAL CAT CHALLENGE TO AWARD THREE GUARANTEED STARTING SPOTS TO FALL $10,000 TO WIN SHOW AT BLACK ROCK SPEEDWAY.
KIRKWOOD, NY…Five Mile Point Speedway four cylinder drivers (Lightning Cats) will have a special three race series of their own in 2009 at the quarter mile oval. The three race Colossal Cat Challenge will also award guaranteed starting berths to the November 7th $10,000 to win event at Black Rock Speedway.
The Five Mile Point Speedway Colossal Cat Challenge will see events held on Tuesday, June 23rd, Tuesday, July 7th and on Saturday, October 10th. All three races will award guaranteed starting berths to the $10,000 to win National Parts Peddler Enduro Big One at Black Rock Speedway.
The winner of the Colossal Cat Challenge race one will be awarded the 10th starting position in the Black Rock $10,000 to win show. The winner of Colossal Cat Challenge race two will earn the 15th starting spot and the winner of the finale will earn the 20th starting spot.
As another bonus if a driver can sweep all three Five Mile Point Speedway Colossal Cat Challenge events the will earn a $500 bonus. Any driver that competes in all three races and wins at least one event will be awarded a $100 bonus at the conclusion of the three race series.
The Lightning Cat division will get their season underway this Saturday night at Five Mile Point Speedway. The event will be the first point races of the season for both the novice and expert divisions.
The 2009 race season gets the green flag on Saturday, April 18th with the running of the Southern Tier Open.
