KIRKWOOD, NY…The Five Mile Point Speedway Family Five Pack ticket package will be instituted one week earlier than originally announced. The family ticket value package will be available at the official 56th season opener on Saturday, May 6th. Race time that night is 6:00 p.m.
The Five Mile Point Speedway Family Five Pack will provide families with two adult tickets, three youth, kid or senior tickets along with five hot dogs and five soda’s all for only $30. The package was designed so that families could come out and enjoy the races together for one low price. The package is a savings of over $33 if the tickets, hot dogs and sodas were purchased separately. Upon arriving to the speedway families can take advantage of the Family Section seating area where no alcohol is permitted.
The Family Five Pack was originally going into effect on Saturday, May 13th as the season opening event on May 6th is an extra admission race. However, speedway owner Andrew Harpell wanted spectators to be able to take advantage of the big season opening event. Harpell commented, “The Southern Tier Open on April 9th was a fantastic event and we wanted to show our appreciation to our great spectators by offering them the package one week early.”
Adult grandstand admission for the 56th annual season opener is $15. For the price of two single adult tickets an entire family will be able to attend the event and eat as well. In addition the speedway is also accepting both Master Card and Visa at the box office for the first time in its 56 year history.
The season opening race will see complete shows for the Modifieds, IMCA Modifieds, Sportsman, Street Stocks and Pure Stocks. The Modified 50 lap feature event will be the highlight of the evening. Racing will start at 6 p.m. and spectators will be welcomed with a number of substantial improvements to the facility.
