BOUNTY BEING PLACED ON PURE STOCK DRIVER CHARLIE GILBERT BEGINNING SATURDAY, JUNE 10TH. DONíS AUTOMOTIVE MALL TO PARTICIPATE IN BOUNTY BONUS CASH.

KIRKWOOD, NY -

Charlie Gilbert has emerged as the hottest driver in the Southern Tier by winning all four Pure Stock feature events held at Five Mile Point Speedway thus far in 2006. The speedway has teamed up with Gilbertís employer Ė Donís Automotive Mall to put up a substantial bounty beginning Saturday, June 10th at Five Mile Point Speedway.

The division has the weekend off at Five Mile Point Speedway on June 3rd so the full bounty will go into effect on Saturday, June 10th. Donís Automotive Mall will post a $100 bonus to anyone that can beat Gilbert over the next four Saturday night racing programs. Five Mile Point Speedway management has stepped up by matching the $100 during each of those events as well. That would make the winnerís share $400 on Saturday, June 10th.

Each week that Gilbert continues to win, the bounty would carry over to the next Saturday. For example if Gilbert should win on Saturday, June 10th the winners share would grow to $600 on Saturday, June 17th. If Gilbert can sweep the next four weeks and go a perfect ď8 for 8Ē he would net a cool $1,000 winners share on Saturday, July 1st.

Five Mile Point Speedway owner Andrew Harpell remarked, ďThis is a great opportunity for us to showcase the outstanding performance that he (Charlie Gilbert) has turned in already this season.Ē He added, ďIt was a natural fit for Donís Automotive Mall to get involved as they are not only his employer but his race team sponsor too.Ē

Gilbert could be tough to beat in her pursuit of the Donís Automotive Mall bounty. Gilbert was the 2004 Pure Stock Track Champion and is always one of the more consistent finishes in the class.

In order for someone to claim the Donís Automotive Mall bounty Gilbert must finish the race on the lead lap. He must also be beaten cleanly on the race track which means it cannot be determined by rough riding. A mechanical problem should not be a determining outcome in the bounty as Gilbert would have to finish on the lead lap.
