41ST ANNUAL HEATH MEMORIAL THIS SATURDAY, JUNE 25TH AT FIVE MILE POINT SPEEDWAY. MODIFIED 50 LAPPER ON TAP.

KIRKWOOD, NY…Five Mile Point Speedway is set to celebrate its biggest event of the season this Saturday night. The 41st running of the Heath Memorial will take place this Saturday night. The night will be highlighted by a 50 lap Modified event paying $2,000 to the winner along with bonus lap money. The Sportsman, Street Stocks, Pure Stocks and FMP Modifieds will be joined by the Keystone Legends. Race time is 6 p.m.

The Annual Heath Memorial event is the most important event of the season for the Modified teams that call Five Mile Point Speedway home. The winner of the 50 lapper will earn $2,000 along with bonus lap money. In addition if the feature winner has perfect attendance this season they will receive a $500 bonus as well. This could take the win total over $3,000.

Fifty lap Modified events have always been a gauge of what to expect throughout the course of the season at the speedway. The past two Heath Memorial winners went on to win the Modified Track Championship in that season as well. The competition is currently the greatest in recent memory so it will be a battle to the final checkered flag. To this point the Five Mile Point Speedway Modified division has seen six different feature winners in six events.

Bonus lap money will be up for grabs and is still available for anyone interested in sponsoring a lap. The Modified lap sponsorships are $20 each with lap sponsorships in the Sportsman, Street Stock, Pure Stock and FMP Modified class selling for $10 each.

Joining the five weekly division program will be the lightning fast Keystone Legend Cars. Another stout field is expected to be on hand for the first of three Legend events at the speedway this season.

The annual former racers reunion will also take place at the speedway this Saturday. Fans will be able to meet drivers from the past as they have their own opportunity to share their memories from over the years at the historic quarter mile oval.

Qualifying heat races begin at 6:00 p.m. this Saturday night at Five Mile Point Speedway. For additional information please contact the speedway offices at (607) 775-5555 or log on to www.fivemilepointspeedway.net for more.
