BINGHAMTON, NY…The Five Mile Point Speedway season ending awards dinner is scheduled for Saturday, January 8th at the Binghamton Regency Hotel and Conference Center in downtown Binghamton. The festivities will begin at 6 p.m.
The annual awards dinner will crown the 2004 Five Mile Point Speedway Track Champions. DonHart, Jr. earned championship honors in the Modified division with his brother Rodney Hart winning the Sportsman title. Gary Dence claimed the top honors in the UMP Modified division with Darl Ellis taking the Street Stock title and Charlie Gilbert claiming the Pure Stock championship.
Drivers, crew members and race fans are all invited to attend this special night to honor the great performances of 2004. Tickets for the dinner are $35 and will provide those attending the menu choices of either Prime Rib, Chicken Cordon Bleu or Pasta Primavera. Tickets must be purchased prior to January 1st with meal selections indicated at the time of ticket purchase.
Prior to the awards dinner drivers will have an opportunity to meet with track officials to discuss the upcoming 2005 season. Discussions will take place in the Kilmer Room at the Binghamton Regency on that day. The Pure Stock, Street Stock and UMP Modified teams will meet at 4:00 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. with the Modified and Sportsman teams gathering between 4:30 and 5:00 p.m.
