FIVE MILE POINT SPEEDWAY TO PLAY HOST TO 52ND ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL ON JULY 30TH FOR MODIFIEDS AND STREET STOCKS

KIKRWOOD, NYÖFive Mile Point Speedway will play host to one of its biggest shows of the year on Tuesday, July 30th at 7:15 p.m. Time Warner Cable Presents the 52nd Anniversary Special featuring a $3,000 to win Fulton Qualifier for 358 Modifieds and a $750 to win STAR Series and Race of Champions Qualifier for the Street Stocks.

Many of the top Modified drivers in the northeast will converge on the quarter mile oval in search of the $3,000 top prize in the 52 lap feature. The winner will also take home a guaranteed starting spot in the VICTORIA 200 All Star Race to be held at Fulton Speedway in October.

With the race being held on an off night, a large field of cars is expected. The top drivers from Five Mile Point will take on the best that the northeast has to offer on their home turf. Currently Mitch Gibbs is the man to beat as he has garnered seven feature wins in 2002. Gibbs will lead a strong contingent of Five Mile Point regulars into the battle for superiority.

The Street Stocks will compete in a 30 lap STAR Series event paying $750 to win. The winner will receive a guaranteed starting spot in the Street Stock portion of the Race of Champions, to be held at Oswego Speedway in September.

Five Mile Point has always boasted having one of the best Street Stock divisions in the northeast and this year is no exception. They are prepared to take on all comers with the big $750 top prize dangling out their for the taking.

This is a canít miss show as Time Warner Cable presents the 52nd Anniversary Special for 358 Modifieds and Street Stocks this Tuesday, July 30th. Gates will open at 5:00 p.m. and the first heat will take the green flag at 7:15 p.m.
